Thank you so much for your feedback! This is actually a very simple fix. With huggie-style earrings, you should always hear a small “click” when they’re properly secured. If the click isn’t happening, the hinge peg likely just needs a slight adjustment.
Gently lift the peg upward just a tiny bit — this helps the earring clasp fully and lock into place. Once adjusted, you should hear that secure click when closing.
